Nearby Vilamoura is well worth a visit and keen golfers will be delighted by the choice of courses here.

Those with children will love the Atlantic Park water park, filled with fun slides and rides to amuse the kids for hours and plenty of green space for you to soak up the sun in peace. If shopping is your thing, this is the ideal location as the interesting shops and boutiques of Quarteira are right on your doorstep. You will find designer gear, unique souvenirs and handicrafts on offer, as well as plenty of good quality supermarkets for cheap, local foods. It is well worth taking at least one day away from the beaches to explore the nearby town of Loulé, with its 13th century castle walls and interesting markets. Although overlooked by most visitors to the Algarve, the city of Faro also makes a fantastic day trip, with lots of culture, history and entertainment to explore.
