Jardins Da Rocha, Praia Da Rocha is a fantastic resort located on the ‘Rock Beach’ area of the Algarve in South Portugal. Located along the coastline on the Mediterrannean sea, the Algarve is a beautiful region with numerous white sandy beaches, stunning rock formations and large lagoons perfect for snorkelling and swimming around.

The Algarve weather is incredibly good as it has more than 300 days of sunshine per year and rarely rains. Location

Jardins Da Rocha is located only 200m away from the top quality beach area of the Praia Da Rocha. Only a footpath away, the hotel’s close access to the beach means that you can wander down whenever you like to enjoy the white sand and warm waters. The resort is also only minutes away from the port and marina of Portimao which is a bustling area full of bars, restaurants and fun activities for the whole family.

The region is also home to a lot of small fishing villages which are incredibly authentic and are fantastic places to visit for a taste of Portuguese culture and cuisine. Local specialities include fish broths, grilled white fish and seafood on a skewer in a spicy marinade. They are also fantastic for picking up souvenirs and locally-made products like leather bags and arts and craft stalls.

The Jardins Da Rocha Hotel complex is a three-star resort and a high rise hotel building with hundreds of quality rooms on offer to its guests. The main hotel area has a bar and pizza restaurant and serves top-quality international food and drink, although it’s Portuguese cuisine is really first rate. The hotel has a swimming pool and childrens’ pool, tennis courts, luxury garden areas and there is a WI-FI spot in reception for laptop users. It also has parking available for its guests as hiring cars is popular in this area, allowing you to see the fantastic coastline, enjoy the many local towns and even head to Spain for a day out.

The rooms in the Jardins Da Rocha are also of a fantastic quality and offer the amentities expected of an international hotel. They offer security safes for your valuables, air-conditioning facilities, satellite and cable TV and tea and coffee making equipment. The studios have a kitchenette with a fridge, electric stove, microwave, oven, toaster and two burners. All of the studio’s also have their own balconies overlooking the area, so you can enjoy your morning coffee in the Algarve sun.

Things To Do Nearby

As aforementioned, there are lots of lovely villages nearby including Alvor which is very rustic and incredibly emblematic of many of the fishing ports in the Algarve. It is small and very Portuguese in its architecture and its culture, with very traditional rural roots. There are lovely restaurants offering fantastic Algarve dishes, great arts and crafts stalls as well as a beautiful marina area which is wonderful to take a stroll down on one of the many sunny days.

For more active Algarve guests you can also enjoy a range of water sports such as snorkelling, jet-skiing and scuba diving. There are also quite a few water parks nearby and in Portimao there is a small theme park and lots of shopping opportunities for those who want to find some unique Portuguese items. Portimao is also home to a large food market area which is great for picking up local specialities to take home.
