Jardim do Vau

The Jardim do Vau hotel is located near the Portuguese town of Alvor, found in the stunning beach area of Portugal — the Algarve. The Jardim do Vau is a stunning Portuguese resort located between Praia da Rocha and Alvor, only 60km away from Faro, the area’s capital city. Only metres from the beach, you can walk down to the sandy Algarve seaside to enjoy a endless range of seaside activities. The beaches in this area also offer beach side bars, loungers and umbrella hire services so you can really relax and enjoy this idyllic beach-front location.

If you would like to get away from the resort and beach every now and again, you will be pleased to know that the heart of Portimao and the brand new marina are very close by and there are lots of bars and restaurants on offer. Nearby Alvor is a beautiful little fishing village and by eating out there you can really enjoy the local seafood in a range of authentic Portuguese restaurants.

Facilities

The Hotel Jardim do Vau is a modern resort offering new technology and top quality amenities to ensure that you have everything you require whilst you stay there. The standard apartments come with either one or two bedrooms and boast kitchenettes, dining areas and en-suites. The superior apartments offer two or three bedrooms with a huge balcony, full kitchen, a dishwasher and a washing machine. The penthouse apartments, the most expensive and luxurious option, are the same as the superior apartments plus have their own private roof terrace with sun bed loungers and chairs. The rooms all come with a large lounge with a dining table, a fantastically well-equipped kitchen with all of the appliances you would need for cooking and a spacious balcony which also has a large table. For disabled and handicapped guests, there are appropriate rooms and facilities on offer.

The hotel is self-catering which means you can eat when and what you please, but there are many restaurants nearby if you feel like trying some of the local cuisine. Jardim do Vau also offers its own restaurant where authentic Algarve dishes are served to give you a taste of the local culture. There is also a cocktail bar and poolside bar. The hotel complex is home to numerous facilities such as a poolside towel service, outdoor swimming pools, indoor heated pool, gym, Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, children’s playground, snooker room, mini market, laundry facilities, hairdressing salon, live music and a shuttle bus service to nearby towns. Things To Do Nearby

There are lots of things to do in the area, including visiting a wealth of small Portuguese ports and fishing villages to experience different aspects of local cuisine and culture. There are always plenty of excursions on offer in the Algarve where you can see the coastline on a boat trip, go snorkelling in a lagoon or try some of the various water sports if you fancy doing something new. The Algarve also offers a number of water parks which are a great family day out.

In the Algarve region, you are never far from other seaside resorts or, for a memorable day-out, visit Faro, the capital city of the region. Faro is highly picturesque with a beautiful port area and a wonderful “old town” which has lots of winding alleys filled with typically Portuguese white houses. Faro is also a great place in which to find souvenirs, leather goods and jewellery as there are a range of markets there with arts and craft stores. Those looking for a great night out will also enjoy the many clubs and bars in Faro.
