The inland city of Silves and its interesting historical background is certainly worth a visit.

For those with a more curious personality, then the Caves of Estombar, the burial tombs from the Dolman period and the mosaic floor of the Roman villa at Figueira will all make for an interesting itinerary. Those who are seeking more fun and relaxation need not venture much further than the hotel or the door-step beach, because the numerous watersports, activities, water parks, shops, bars and discos provide plenty of entertainment for everyone.
