Location

Just a 20 minute stroll from the bustling town and golden sandy beach of Praia da Rocha, the Solmonte Apartments are nestled in a glorious location in Portugal’s sunny Algarve. These beautiful surroundings are the ideal place to leave behind the everyday stresses of working life back home, and settle down to some well-earned rest and relaxation in the glorious Algarve sunshine.

Not only do the Solmonte Apartments offer a serene atmosphere in which to relax and enjoy the typically slow pace of Mediterranean life, they are also delightfully close to the lively Algarve town of Praia da Rocha. Perfect for an afternoon shopping, a taste of local cuisine or even a night on the tiles, Praia da Rocha is a wonderful place to have just a short taxi ride or 20 minute walk away. Not only does it offer everything you could wish from a delightful Algarve town, but also has a stunning, sandy beach to while away hours in the sunshine.

Facilities

Solmonte Apartments offers a variety of accommodation choices: studios with a capacity of up to three people, one bedroom apartments with a capacity of up to four people, and two bedrooms with a capacity of up to six people – something so suit everyone! All studios and apartments are equipped with a private bathroom, telephone, bathroom or balcony, and kitchenette. Additional items are easily available from the maid service upon request, including fans, kettles, toasters, and a television. Additionally each room comes with a safety deposit box, particularly useful for the safekeeping of passports and valuables.

As well as a reception desk with staff always available to assist guests, there is also a beautiful outdoor swimming pool to cool off in, and a smaller outdoor swimming pool specifically designed for the enjoyment of younger guests. There is also a pool table, as well as two bars which are known for their great food, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere – both great places to grab a drink, snack or even a meal just a stone’s throw from both the pool and your apartment.

Things To Do Nearby

As has already been mentioned, the Solmonte Apartments Portimao are in a particularly pleasant location, as there are a great many things to do and places to see nearby. For those interesting in absorbing a little of the local culture, the nearby town of Portimao is a delightful place to spend the day. As a fishing port, this town offers some of the most delicious seafood in this area of the Algarve, as well as a lovely harbour area, great for wandering around.

If getting active is more your thing then the beach of Praia da Rocha is the place to be, as aside from its stunning views and golden sand, there is a huge variety of water sports to try out, including everything from snorkelling and surfing to motor-boating and paragliding. For golf enthusiasts there are two of the Algarve’s best golf courses in the local area, as well as mountains for keen hikers.

What Have Previous Guests Said?

Perhaps the best and most positive testament to the Solmonte Apartments is that a rather large number of previous guests continually return to this resort year after year. One middle-aged father noted that he had ‘yet to find any fault with the apartments’, and would definitely recommend Solmonte Apartments to friends and family thinking of a trip to the Algarve. Though a number of previous guests described the apartments as ‘basic’, all noted that they were spacious and exceptionally clean and tidy.

The complex itself has received great reviews. The pool and surrounding grassy area has been described as ‘a lovely place to enjoy the sunshine’, particularly for children who enjoy splashing around in the pool! The two hotel bars/restaurants have been the subject of fantastic comments from the vast majority of previous guests. Both have been commended for their ‘fun and friendly atmosphere’, and many have noted how welcoming the staff are, particularly with children. Last but not least, many have described the location of Solmonte Portimao as ‘excellent’.
