The Jardins do Vau Hotel offers quality 3 star accommodation, and is located in Portimao, right on the beach. It is only 2.5 km from the town centre and 60 km from the Algarve’s Faro Airport. The views from the hotel are marvellous, and the hotel is on the coastal road where bars, restaurants and night clubs are located.
The Jardins do Vau Hotel is ideally positioned for discovering the Algarve coast line and lies between the town of Portimao, close to the picturesque marina. Praia do Vau is the lovely beach directly in front of the hotel, and a few metres towards the marina lies Praia da Rocha. In the other direction, and to the west lies Alvor, the historic resort of Lagos and Sagres at the western most tip of the Algarve.

The hotel has excellent dining, leisure and sport facilities, including a lovely outdoor swimming pool, indoor pool, lounge, bar, restaurant, sun terrace, games room, hairdresser, TV lounge, mini market and laundry. The hotel’s own Jardin Restaurant serves delicious Mediterranean cuisine, and the Cocktail Bar is a great place to relax and unwind with a freshly mixed cocktail. Children aged between 4 and 12 can enjoy the kids’ club and playground, whilst mums and dads enjoy a quiet time by the pool or relaxing in the gardens. Fitness fans can enjoy the excellent facilities at the hotel, which include sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, solarium and fitness room. Things To Do Nearby
The Jardins do Vau is well situated for visiting the Monchique Mountains, a stunning part of the Algarve, with great views of the coastline. Here you can discover unspoilt rural villages, pine forests and wild flora. The Splash and Slide water park is in nearby Lagos and makes a great day out for all the family, and at Zooland the kids can enjoy watching the sea lions and dolphins as well as a bird of prey display.
The Town of Silves is a short drive from the hotel, and is steeped in history. Here you can wander around the Moorish castle which is located on the River Arade. You can reach Silves by boat from Portimao. There are many boat trips on offer from Portimao to other parts of the Algarve, including trips along the coast and evening trips including a barbecue or dinner. If you need some retail therapy, Guia has a large shopping centre. For golfing enthusiasts, there are plenty of golf courses to choose from, including Penina golf course which is only a few minutes drive from the hotel.

They particularly enjoy the swimming pool and close proximity of the hotel to the lovely beach, which is clean with safe swimming. The hotel is particularly popular with families with young children holidaying in the Algarve. The night life is exciting and close enough to walk to, but the hotel is quiet for those seeking a relaxing and peaceful holiday.
The hotel restaurant is reasonably priced with great food and service, and the staff are helpful and friendly. The outdoor swimming pool is clean, with plenty of space and enough sunbeds for everyone, even in high season. The apartments are spacious and there is everything a family needs in the apartments for self catering.
