We generally had a very pleasant stay until the day we were leaving and tried to get our deposit back for the 3 beach towels we had hired and were told this was not possible. We had paid 10 euros each so 30 euros in total for 3 towels, directly to the member of staff in the beach hut near the pool area, which we believed to be the normal procedure, we were not told any differently. On returning the towels and trying to retrieve of 30 euros we were told this was not possible as we should have paid at the reception desk where they hold the deposits. As we had not know this was the case and questioned that the member of staff and taken the money, the hotel manager basically insinuated that we had just picked up the towels and was trying to obtain money that was not really ours. We were appalled to have been treated in this way and were made to feel as though we were common thieves. For the manager of an up-market hotel to treat visitors in this way we found to be absolutely appauling and left with a very bad feeling about the place. We would not return to this hotel and because of the way we have been treated and I would recommend that anyone who does, please be very cautious of the beach towel staff and poor management.
