Hotel Navegadores

The Algarve is situated at the southern most end of Portugal and is a popular location for summer beach holidays as well as being an all year round location for out of season holidays, as the climate is mild throughout the year.
The coastal region of the Algarve has some of the finest beaches in Europe, renowned for being picturesque, with fine, soft sand and safe bathing. Portugal has some stunning scenery and the Algarve has much more to offer the visitor than sun and beaches. By travelling a few miles inland, the tourist can enjoy the stunning Monchique mountain range, the peace and quiet away from the lively beach resorts and amazing views across the coast line.
Although the Algarve is well known for its beaches with rocky outcrops and cliffs, in the eastern part of the Algarve the beaches are sandy with backdrops of sand dunes.

What Have Previous Guests Said?
Guests who have stayed at the Navegadores Hotel are impressed by the friendly and helpful staff. They enjoy the indoor pool, particularly during the winter months as a warmer alternative to the sea. Many of the hotel rooms offer splendid views of the mountains and rooms are extremely clean, as staff come in every day. There are dances organised in the bar twice a week, which are very popular with local people as well as the many Spanish guests at the hotel, creating a great atmosphere.
The hotel serves hearty English breakfasts which are enjoyed by the guests. The location of the hotel is perfect for discovering the coastline along this part of the Algarve as well as giving the visitor easy access to the town centre and all its amenities.

The hotel was ok, but the food was vile, and the staff preferred to serve the Portugese, often ignoring the English. We went out to eat most nights, allthough we had booked half board, as the food was that bad. We were given a bottle of wine after complaining, but they would not let us open it in the restaurant. Although we go to Monte Gordo every year, we would not stay at this hotel again.
