The complex lies around one kilometre uphill from the beautiful beach itself, perfect for those who want to try their hand at watersports, work on their tans or just relax with a meal and a drink at one of the many beach bars. The central location means that restaurants and shops can be found just a few minutes’ walk from the apartments.

Holidaymakers looking for lively nightlife and a wider range of shops, restaurants and leisure facilities will find them close at hand in the town of Lagos, just three kilometres from Praia da Luz and within easy reach thanks to the regular buses that pass through the resort . Most international visitors to the Algarve and Praia da Luz will arrive at Faro International Airport, around one hour’s drive from Waterside Village Apartments. Transfer to the Waterside Village Apartments can be arranged for an extra charge.

Facilities

This four-star Algarve resort boasts a wealth of excellent facilities, ensuring guests want for nothing during their stay at the Waterside Village Apartments Praia da Luz. Swimmers and sunbathers will be more than happy.

There are three pools – one for adults and two for families – each of which is surrounded by loungers and parasols. There are three poolside bars for those who want to indulge in a cocktail or cool down with a soft drink whilst working on that all-important Algarve tan. There is a restaurant serving buffet meals and a further restaurant bar with cable television. The restaurant is only open for lunch, but with a wealth of restaurants in Praia da Luz and nearby Lagos, guests will not go hungry in the evenings!

Further facilities include reception desk manned 24 hours a day, a coffee shop, ample gardens and free car parking.

The rooms themselves are stylishly and comfortably furnished. All boast balconies and cable television, a kitchenette with cooking faciilties and fridge, living area, private bedroom and private bathroom. A range of facilities and amenities are available for families with young children – from high chairs to babysitting services.

A beautiful, unspoilt fishing village, Praia da Luz is the Algarve at its tranquil best. Guests can sunbathe, swim or try their hand at one of the many watersports practiced on the crystal clear waters. Adventurous options include windsurfing, scuba diving, surfing and kayaking, whilst those of a gentler disposition can enjoy sailing, snorkelling or fishing.

The surrounding countryside is a paradise for nature lovers, with beautiful flora and fauna and some delightfully remote beaches. Golfers will not be disappointed – several legendary Algarve golf courses can be found close to the resort.

Close by, the town of Lagos is rich in historic sites and intriguing architecture. The ancient city walls and winding cobbled streets transport visitors back in time, whilst the many lively restaurants, bars, nightclubs and internet cafes bring the lively town bang up to date. There are good public transport links between Praia da Luz and Lagos and this pretty Algarve town is a good bet for anybody wanting to sample the local nightlife. Bicycle rides and horse riding are enjoyable ways to see the Algarve countryside, but hiring a car is an option for holidaymakers who want to explore the wider region – from out of the way beaches to beautiful inland villages.
