Location
The apartments themselves are located at the edge of central Lagos, right on the southern tip of the area. Its location means it has an outlook over two different beaches and a stunning sea view. Its location is slightly removed from the centre and is ideal as shops, restaurants and other sights are still accessible by foot and public transport, but it is a slightly more peaceful area, perfect for a relaxing holiday.
The Vilas Dinas are also only 500m away from the globally renowned D. Ana beach which is one of the most esteemed in Portugal and even referred to as the most beautiful part of the Algarve region.
Facilities
Aside from beautiful views over the ocean, beaches and surrounding Portuguese landscape, the apartments themselves have a lot to offer. With such facilities on your doorstep you can concentrate on relaxing without having to worry about transport to swimming pools or certain beaches. The layouts of the apartments are great as well as they have private areas, yet there are large communal areas to enjoy meeting new people. The complex is also family-run and the child play area and other facilities and amenities match this care and family-friendly service.
The apartments themselves are also well equipped and very comfortable with air conditioning for the hot days of Summer and a safe available in the main complex building. There is also complementary use of hairdryers, satellite television and towels, bed linen and apartment cleaning services included. The ground floor apartments come with a terrace and garden area and the first floor apartments have a fantastic balcony so you can look over the vegetation and see the sea. The apartment has classic furniture and a completely fitted kitchen so you can try your hand at cooking your own Portuguese meals or simply just keep your wine cool.
If one of your aims of getting away was to avoid household chores for a while then there are breakfast and buffet facilities at the main complex building, but there are also a host of restaurants and bars within walking distance of the complex.
Things To Do Nearby
Aside from the gorgeous beaches and the sheer convenience of the apartment complex, this area of the Algarve offers a lot of variety to tourists. Praia de Luz is a stunning beach area which is only five minutes away by car and offers water sport and other beach activities to keep you entertained. Some areas along the coast also hire out jet skis, waterskiing and scuba diving lessons if you want to try your hand at something more adventurous.
Lagos town itself is a great destination for checking out the Portuguese culture, with a host of museums, a fantastic gastronomical circuit and beautiful lagoons and rocky cove areas. If you are looking for nightlife, Albufeira is fairly close and has a “strip” of bars and clubs with cheap entry prices and drinks.
Faro is the region’s capital and has a wealth of beautiful Portuguese architecture typical of the Algarve region. Olhao is a small town near Faro, and like much of the Algarve has a beautiful marina, great seafood restaurants and quaint markets with handmade goods.
