Via Don Ana Lagos is located just a few minutes walk from the beach of Don Ana in the Algarve region of Portugal. It is a fantastic three star rated complex set within its own private grounds. Located near to the city of Lagos, the apartment complex is not only situated in a stunning location with easy access to the beautiful beaches and Algarve cities but they are also well equipped, stylish and suitable for a whole range of different kinds of holidaymakers.

The city of Lagos is around fifty five miles away from Faro Airport which is the main international airport in the Algarve. Faro is a bustling town, the capital of its region, and its airport is equally as busy due to the many charter flights that are being offered by UK budget airlines. In the Algarve area it would be preferential to have a hire car so you can see a lot of the region, but the area is well connected by various bus and train routes as well as by national highways.

Location

The Via Don Ana Hotel is located 2km away from the city centre, so you can get to Lagos easily by foot and also visit neighbouring towns and villages by the many bus routes that run in Lagos and throughout the Algarve. Only a short stroll from the centre you can enjoy the restaurants, cafes, aqua parks and markets in the centre but have the option of returning to a peaceful area.

So close to both beach and city centre, the Via Don Ana Hotel is the perfect base for a beach holiday or exploration of the Algarve region.

Facilities

This attractive resort has many of the modern amenities expected from an international hotel and aims to please different holidaymakers alike. The complex boasts its own large swimming pool with surrounding terraces perfect for lazing in the Portuguese sun.

The resort also offers tennis courts for those who enjoy a more active holiday and you can also hire bicycles from the main desk so you can explore the beautiful surroundings more in depth. There is also a snack bar and those who really do not want a self catering option are given breakfast and dinner at a nearby restaurant. The hotel is family friendly and not only has a separate pool just for children but also a separate childrens’ play area, the ability to create cot beds in the living space of the bedrooms and baby changing and high chair facilities.

Within the hotel there are 50 beautifully decorated apartments which come in a range of one or two bedroom designs. The rooms are large and well furnished and every apartment comes with its own private bathroom and a kitchenette which includes a fridge and microwave. All apartments also come with telephones, a safety deposit box and local and satellite TV.

Depending on whether you have a ground apartment or a higher level, you can also enjoy either a private terrace or balcony with views of the vegetation and the distant sea. Laundry service and apartment cleaning is included in the price.

Things To Do Nearby

Aside from the facilities in the complex, there are a lot of stunning nearby beaches to enjoy. This area has much more to offer than beaches though, with water sports such as water-skiing, jet-skiing, PADI scuba diving lessons and banana boating all on offer along the Algarve coastline. Less than half an hour away there is also the internationally renowned golfing centre the Boa Vista Golf Course.

The town of Lagos itself is definitely worth spending some time in as it is a fantastic example of Portuguese culture with a host of museums, quality restaurants and beautiful lagoons. There are also lots of night cafes so you can sit outside and enjoy the local sea food and red wine under the stars. If you are looking for nightlife, Albufeira is fairly close and has a “strip” of bars and clubs with cheap entry prices and drinks.

Faro is the region’s capital and has a wealth of beautiful Portuguese architecture typical of the Algarve region as well as a gorgeous marina area. Most of the towns in this area are similar in that they have a beautiful marina, great seafood restaurants and quaint markets.
