Montinho De Ouro

The Algarve in Portugal is synonymous with holidays and sun drenched stretching beaches. In fact this part of Portugal has more sunshine than any other part of West Europe, and this is just one reason why thousands of tourists flock to the Algarve every year!
In addition to sun and beaches, the Algarve offers world class golf courses, excellent facilities for leisure and relaxation, miles of unspoilt countryside and coastline with cycling and walking tracks, friendly resorts and plenty of excellent accommodations to suit all budgets and group sizes.
Location
The Montinho De Ouro Lagos is located in the centre of the Algarve, in the lovely village of Praia da Luz which is one of the most tourist-friendly and developed villages in Lagos’ West. This apartment hotel is very friendly and rated at 3 stars, and it’s ideal for couples, families or small groups looking for a relaxing break.
Facilities
The Montinho De Ouro has good facilities to offer guests. It has a wonderfully tended garden which is lushly green and verdant and perfect for relaxing in with a drink. There is also a large communal terrace, which again is ideal for taking in some sun and relaxing on with a cocktail. There’s an outdoor swimming pool with a sun lounge area alongside, and two paddling pools for the children. A restaurant and bar are also located on site for breakfast and other meals, including snacks. For guests with energy to spare, there’s a tennis court to take advantage of. Other facilities include a hotel safe for safekeeping valuables, a laundry service at a charge, and a guest car park.
The apartment rooms are decorated in a fresh and mediterranean Algarve style. They each have a television, centrallly controlled air conditioning, a safe, a telephone and an en suite bathroom with a bath and shower. There is also a kitchenette area with a microwave, oven, coffee and tea making facilities and cutlery and crockery.
Things To Do Nearby
There’s plenty to see and do nearby the Montinho De Ouro Lagos. The modern complex is just two kilometres away from Praia da Luz and six from Lagos and there’s a great Algarve golf course just 4 km away. Espiche Village is just a short walk away – with some good restaurants – but for guests wishing to travel further afield, a hire car may come in useful and the hotel does offer car parking. In the wider area there are also some lovely beaches with lots of water sports on offer such as jet skiing, diving and sailing. There are plenty of cycle tracks with bike hire available, and also horse riding.
For those who want an active holiday, there are various tennis and squash courses around the area and also childrens’ playgrounds. Go karting and other attractions such as Zoo marine, aqua marines and waterparks are also located in the area and it’s worth heading a little further afield to check out some of the other Algarve resorts and also the smaller villages located in the countryside, many of which offer lovely cobbled streets, beautiful squares and excellent local restaurants.
