Marina Club Lagos
Those visiting the Algarve in Portugal for the first time will be in for a treat, as the area is known for its sun-drenched climate and beautiful surroundings.
The Algarve is also famous for its friendly holiday resorts such as Lagos, Albufeira and Villamoura and there are plenty of cultural, sports and leisure facilities to take advantage of, both in the Algarve itself and wider Portugal. Golfing is a particular draw of the region and there are a number of world class courses available, as well as cycling, horse riding, walking tracks, water sports, amusements and lively resorts to enjoy.
Location
The Marina Club Hotel is located right on the Algarve in the lively centre of the commercial centre and the marina. Lagos resort centre has a lot to offer visitors, and the Marina Club is perfectly situated for guests to take advantage of this.
It is an old and historic town with a mix of lovely architecture, picturesque squares and excellent restaurants – as well as livelier nightspots and good shops and cafes for daytime relaxation. The hotel is ideally designed for both couples and family groups and is good for those looking for a quiet and relatively peaceful hotel, but with excellent access to Lagos resort and the nearby beaches and other attractions.
Facilities
There are a good range of facilities at the Marina Club Lagos. Guests can enjoy the on site cocktail bar which offers a good range of happy hour specials for relaxing at sundown and prepping for an evening’s entertainment!
It’s a lively bar and nicely decorated in a warm Mediterranean style. There is also a well equipped gym which is perfect for guests who like to stay active, and there’s also a jacuzzi and sauna for extra relaxation. Outside there is a swimming pool and a sun terrace with guest loungers and parasols for sunbathing. There is also a manned reception with friendly staff, and a childrens’ playground. A car park is also available for those taking advantage of a hire car and there is internet access available at a public computer in the hotel lobby.
The hotel has over 70 one bed rooms, 17 studios and 18 two and three bed apartments. The rooms and apartments are all designed to offer guests a comfortable stay. The decor is modern and relaxing and each room has centrally controlled air-conditioning, a satellite TV, a safe for valuables, telephone, a private bathroom and a well equipped kitchenette with cutlery, tea and coffee making facilities etc. Each room also has a private balcony.
Things To Do Nearby
Visitors to the Marina Club Hotel will find a good range of attractions and diversions – particularly sporting and sightseeing ones – to amuse them during their resort holiday in the Algarve. There is the lovely beach of Meia Praia nearby to enjoy, just a kilometre away. There is a golf course just a five minute drive away which has beautiful views of Lagos.
Other courses such as Penina and Boavista are also just a short drive away. The marina is a particular draw for visitors, and guests can hire yachts, take sailing trips or simply enjoy some excellent seafood at one of the nearby restaurants. Lagos itself has a lot to entertain guests – everything from daytime shopping, to lazy strolls around the picturesque and historic streets… maybe an ice cream at a gelato or a delicious lunch at one of the many local restaurants. There is also a lively night scene with plenty of bars and clubs for those who enjoy partying until the small hours!

There have been a number of positive comments about the Marina Club Hotel. Visitors to the Algarve commented on how pleasant Lagos resort was and how much they enjoyed their holidays to Portugal in general.
Those staying in the hotel said that the location was fantastic both for Lagos resort centre and the beach – both around 10 to 15 minutes walks away. They also enjoyed being right on the marina, and found it very relaxing and attractive. Several guests found the rooms bright and spacious, with good quality accommodation which was kept clean and fresh during their stay. The quality and friendliness of the hotel staff was commented on, and the buffet food facilities were felt to be good, although a couple of guests recommended timing visits to the buffet carefully to get the best of it!
Another reviewer said that the hotel was particularly good for families with children as there was so much to do in the local resort and the wider Algarve – as first time visitors they’d been particularly impressed with the range of sporting and leisure facilities on offer.
