The Luz Bay Club Algarve is situated just 150 metres away from Luz beach, in the Rua Do Jardim in the Algarve of Portugal.
This is a very popular destination for tourists from all over, especially the UK. It is a peaceful location, ideally situated for those looking for a quieter holiday away from noisy night life noise, but within easy walking distance of the nearby beach and other amenities.
It is close to various nearby attractions such as the local bars, shops and restaurants in Lagos town, and there are also a number of good golf courses just ten kilometres away as well as playgrounds, cycling tracks, horse riding clubs, sailing clubs and various childrens’ attractions to entertain younger visitors.
Facilities
The Luz Bay Club Hotel has 73 rooms and is a four star hotel offering very comfortable accommodation.
It has a number of surrounding sun terraces which are well stocked with parasols and loungers. There are two large pools measuring up at 16 metres and a half size kids’ pool. Rooms are offered on a flexible basis, with double rooms and separate twin beds available for family groups. Each room is furnished with TV, fridge, safe, telephone and en suite bathroom.
The hotel has well tended gardens filled with lemon and orange trees and stretching lawns, and has a friendly club-like atmosphere. There are sporting facilities on site such as a tennis and squash court. A full English breakfast is served buffet style every morning, and the hotel restaurant also serves a dinner buffet every night. There is also live music to entertain guests five nights a week. Other facilities at the Luz Bay Club Algarve include a sauna and steam room and high speed internet in the lobby – with a surcharge.
Things To Do Nearby
There is a lot to do at the Luz Bay Club Algarve. If you enjoy walking then you can take advantage of the marble promenade which runs alongside the beachfront and affords wonderful views of the ocean. Nearby Lagos town offers an enjoyable nightlife as well as some excellent restaurants and bars. There are also a wide range of shops and also local supermarkets for picking up essentials.
It’s worth taking one of the many excursions or hiring a car to see the other attractions of the Algarve such as Albufeira, Villamoura and other popular places. Children will enjoy visiting the amusement parks, Zoomarine and go karting tracks and there are plenty of water parks and play parks as well as the gorgeous beaches on offer – all designed to expend plenty of energy!

Feedback on the Luz Bay Club Algarve has been very positive.
One guest recommended the breakfast for having a wide choice, and also said the bar area was friendly and clean. They also had a lovely large room and enjoyed the convenience of the regular bus trips to Lagos. Another guest also commented on the comfort of the rooms and noted that they were serviced everyday and kept very neat and tidy by the maids.
Other guests commented on the convenience of the Algarve hotel for nearby Lagos and its sightseeing and shopping facilities. The beach was also a good draw for visitors and the location was felt to be peaceful and quiet and ideal for couples or groups looking for a relaxed holiday. Guests felt that car hire would be useful for travelling further afield, and noted that the wider Algarve area had a lot to offer holiday makers in terms of activities.
Other guests also commented favourably on the friendliness of the hotel staff, finding the maid service very efficient and the bar staff fun and friendly. Most guests said that they would highly recommend the Algarve hotel and consider returning themselves.
