Location

Clube Porto Mos is within a mile of three popular beaches, Mos Beach, Dona Ana Beach and the Camillo Beach. All three of these are easy to walk to for most guests and enjoyable to swim or lounge on. The apart-hotel is also 10 kilometres from the famous Lagos lighthouse and 2.5 miles from Luz.

Lagos is the closest town and can be reached on foot, by public transport or by car (which just takes 5 minutes.) The nearest airport is Faro Portugal international which is 75 kilometres away. We recommend hiring a rental car for your stay so you can get around the area because there’s no on-site supermarket and there’s a huge amount to see and do in Lagos.

There are tons of facilities at the Algarve Club Porto Mos which put other hotels to shame. There’s the heated indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna all great for a relaxing get away and then there’s the special health club complete with a gym. For hot days there’s an outdoor pool and car hire can be arranged for you by staff along with services such as babysitting, tour bookings and horse riding lessons at a local riding school.

The hotel operates a 24 hour reception and can also launder clothes. All rooms have double glazing, air conditioning, a refrigerator, radio, cable TV, and in-room safe for holiday valuables. A direct dial telephone and a hairdryer are also in each room. A 2 minute drive away from the Clube Porto Mos mini resort are some tennis facilities which are available to visitors and you can get discounts on boat trips and cut-prices on rounds at a local golf course. Car parking is free unlike at many other Algarve hotels and so is access to the hotel games room. There’s a restaurant on-site serving fresh cuisine sourced in the Algarve. A bar stays open in to the night and a buffet breakfast is served every morning.

Things To Do Nearby

You can arrange a fishing cruise for you and your family and catch plenty of fresh fish to cook in your apartment at local booking agents, but you can also book water sports and other activities locally too with the apart-hotel offering many opportunities to go on excursions or even go horse riding. Forte da Ponta da Bandeira is an old ocean fortress which makes a great sight-seeing trip for those interested in the history of the island.

Equally, the museum in Lagos (Museu Regional) is a wonderful place for visitors to learn more about ancient Algarve. As well as fishing excursions some companies offer a tour of the grottos, (rocky sheltered beaches and bays) around the island. Weaving between rocks in a small fishing boat with a trained guide, you could see the small ocean caverns and might spot some Algarve wildlife as you speed through the surf amongst interesting rock formations.

Some guests say it’s under half an hour away on foot and just 5 minutes by taxi or hire car. With a beautiful beach nearby and an array of facilities including indoor and outdoor pools there are lots of spaces at this apart-hotel to relax.

One reviewer loved the views from their apartment while another said that towels and sheets were changed every two days. Many comments claimed apartments were kept utterly spotlessly clean. Other benefits previous visitors mentioned were ample free parking (untypical of Algarve hotels), a delicious buffet breakfast catering for almost every taste and one visitor even described the hotel as ‘a little bit of heaven.’
