The Hotel Eva Faro Portugal is located in a stunning part of the Algarve; it overlooks the stunning harbour and is only a few minutes away from the centre of town.

In fact, the 3 star Hotel Eva Faro is an incredibly well connected resort. It is also situated just 10 miles from the airport and a short bus ride from the beach. Visitors can reach the old Faro town centre and the marina in just a 15 minute stroll. Hospitality in Portugal is world famous and for good reason, the facilities at Eva Hotel are excellent. There’s a cafe and a cocktail bar for some light refreshments along with a wonderful restaurant with harbour-side views.

You can relax by the swimming pool with a fruity cocktail or choose a sun lounger on the sun terrace. If it gets too hot there are even parasols to keep you cool. Water sports are a popular pastime in the area and classes are available from nearby businesses, but if getting wet doesn’t sound like your sort of thing, you could take part in a number of other excellent Algarve activities. There are horse riding classes, lush green golf courses and tennis courts all nearby.

Facilities

There are some wonderful services available at the Hotel Eva Faro, such as the baby sitting service which is perfect when the rest of the family want to do activities which the young ones wouldn’t like.

You can also park at the hotel and it has several meeting rooms for business visitors to hold conferences, seminars and talks. In fact, business visitors who come to the Algarve often choose the hotel due to its location on transport links and of course, the breathtaking views.

Add to that, a hairdresser (perfect for weddings and pre-night out pampering) and a currency exchange, essential for all of your local spending needs. Then there’s a special laundry service and the hotel has all the little extras you could possibly need. Staff at the Hotel Eva Algarve, are also friendly and happy to answer questions and meet special requests.

There are 148 guestrooms at the hotel in total and they are all furnished and decorated in a clean, modern, European style. Guestrooms at the Eva hotel are in fact typical of the Algarve hotel industry, featuring impeccable bathrooms, air-conditioning, a telephone, a mini-bar, satellite television and a safe to store your valuables. Most rooms also have a balcony and this either faces the city streets in the case of lower priced rooms or the beautiful views of the harbour, which is incredible at sunset and sunrise.

What have previous guests said?

A quick glance at the online reviews for the Eva Hotel Faro will reassure any visitor to the Algarve that it’s a great place to stay.

Many previous visitors say that their favourite thing about the hotel is the view of the marina and one even says that they stood on their balcony for hours just enjoying the view of the blue water, sky and small boats.

Another reviewer said that watching the sunsets from their balcony made their holiday that much more special, adding that the staff were friendly and fun and that the breakfast choice was extensive and very good. They also commented that the town has wonderful cobbled streets and that getting to Albufeira from the hotel is easy and costs just a few Euros. The bus station is next to the hotel which is another benefit praised by people who have stayed at the Eva Hotel in the recent past and the train station is just 5 minutes walk away. This means you can travel to other exciting destinations in the Algarve easily and cheaply.

Some criticisms of the hotel were that they charge for the internet service, but this is the case in most hotels throughout the Algarve, as it is expected to be used more by business travellers than holiday makers. One other criticism was that the outdoor pool is closed over winter, but this again is typical of most Algarve hotels.

The breakfast buffet was widely complimented for offering a good selection and being good value for money and even the bar man in the lounge bar was mentioned in a customer review, where the previous customer said: he was a delight and laid on old fashioned courtesy and hospitality. The charismatic day maids were also fondly remembered and the guest rooms were described as very clean in every review we’ve read. As such, we think this might be one of the best 3 star hotels in this part of the Algarve.
