Club Golden Ria Hotel
The Golden Ria Hotel is a truly exciting place to stay in the Algarve. There is a golden beach just 50 metres away from Club Golden Ria Faro and this is possibly where it gets its name.
In fact, the Club Golden Ria resort is situated close to transport connections too, making it a great base to explore Faro. There are lots of fun activities to do in the Algarve and it seems like the people behind Club Golden Ria know that because what really sells this hotel is the number of activities on offer and the ease with which a visitor can go exploring. If history, architecture and art are what bring you to Portugal, then you will be glad to know that there’s a bus stop just 100 metres from the hotel.
From there you can access links to local transport networks for sightseeing. If, however, you’re more of a thrill seeker there are plenty of fun activities for you to take part in which we will discuss in more detail later. Then, of course there’s also the beach which is perfect for playing, lounging and swimming. The beaches in the Algarve are places of outstanding natural beauty and can easily provide you and your friends with hours of enjoyment.
Facilities
If you run out of Euros there’s no need to worry because you can get some exchanged at the hotel’s own currency exchange service and if you want a shirt pressed or need some clothes washing you can use the hotel’s laundry service. There’s also parking at the hotel which makes it easy to hire a car from an Algarve car hire company. A bite to eat is close at hand too because the Club Golden Ria has a restaurant which serves food inspired by international cooking and the flavours of the Algarve. For a cool, refreshing drink you can visit the hotel bar.
All of the guest rooms have a number of facilities which you might come to expect in an Algarve hotel. Guestrooms are centrally heated and air conditioned. There’s a terrace or balcony in most rooms and also a television in each room which shows local television channels. There are also safety deposit boxes in all rooms for storing important documents such as passports and any small valuables. As is standard across all Algarve hotels there is a clean bathroom and shower for all rooms and if you need to call home or contact the reception you can use the telephone in your room.
Portugal is fast developing a tourism-following because of all the activities available here, from horse riding to water sports there are a number of small businesses close to Algarve beaches offering the chance to indulge in some high excitement activities. Alongside all these separate businesses though, there’s plenty to do just at the hotel when you stay at the Club Golden Ria. There’s the Terrace Solarium, for an afternoon lounge for example and you can enjoy a game of tennis in the tennis courts or take a plunge in the heated pool.
Visitors can also have a buffet breakfast every morning and should they wish to, they can work off some of the calories in the Gymnasium, re-invigorate themselves in the sauna or just enjoy a drink with friends in the great hotel bar. International cuisine is served in the restaurant and by choosing to eat there, or finish your day with a drink in the bar; you’ll find it effortlessly easy to get back to your room. After all, there’s nothing better than a comfortable drink with friends after a day of sun, exploration and indulgence.
What have previous guests said?
Reviews from previous customers are in short supply for this wonderful hotel but the reviews we could find were incredibly positive. One visitor to the Algarve said she would thoroughly recommend the hotel and that it was a calm and peaceful place with many good bars nearby. Another customer recommended that other visitors ask to stay in ‘the new apartments’ associated with the hotel as they’re very new, modern and ‘funky.’
Whilst some previous visitors praised the food, other customers said that they found they had to eat a lot of fruit to become full as food seemed to be in short supply. A couple of other reviews said the food was delicious, fresh and plentiful, however. If you’re considering a trip to the Algarve the Hotel Club Golden Ria seem to have it all, access to the Faro sights, a nearby beach and a hotel packed with facilities including a restaurant, bar, sauna, and a heated swimming pool
