Location

The Hotel Vila Gale Nautico is excellently located in Armacao De Pera. It is only a few minutes walk away from a popular sandy beach, and again only 10 minutes walk from the town centre. The hotel itself is four star and has a strong nautical theme with whitewashed walls and blue and white decor inside for a fresh look and feel. It’s a family friendly hotel, with a comfortable and relaxed feel and it provides an excellent base for those seeking a beach or poolside hotel, but with easy access to local town facilities and restaurants/trips etc.

Rooms

Each of the 211 rooms at the Vila Gale Nautico Armacao de Pera are again decorated in the hotel’s nautical theme. They are bright, clean and whitewashed, and tastefully accessorised with sea themed artworks and mirrors. Each room has air conditioning, cable television, a safe and telephone.

The rooms are u-shaped and the suites have a bedroom with a double bed, and a living room with 2 single sofa beds. There are some connecting rooms for families or groups available. Each room has dining sets and a fridge – minibars are also available if requested. Each room also has a terrace or balcony and extra facilities such as baby cribs and babysitting services are also available from reception.

Facilities

There is a huge pool outside for guests to enjoy and it’s a key feature of the hotel, set amongst lawned gardens and a generously sized sun terrace with parasols and loungers. The swimming pool also has a bar and there’s a separate splash pool for the kids to enjoy. The hotel also offers a full entertainment programme featuring activities such as games and aqua gym by day and shows and bingo in the evening.

There’s also a health club on site with a Turkish bath, whirlpool bath and an indoor pool. Kids can also be taken off your hands by the hotel kids’ club, giving parents ample opportunity to explore the Algarve further. There is also a games room on site with a pool table, jukebox and video games, and a computer in the lobby provides internet access for a surcharge. The hotel reception is also manned 24 hours a day with multilingual staff.

Things to do nearby

There are plenty of things to do and see nearby Armacao de Pera. The hotel is situated in the famous fishing village and many tourists enjoy watching local sights such as the fishermens’ colourful boats and the excellent local restaurants featuring some of the freshest seafood in the Algarve.

A wide range of excursions around the Algarve and wider Portugal are available from various tour operators and there are various local activities such as sports and childrens’ attractions like Zoomarine nearby. Golf courses are very famous in the Algarve, and a number of these are accessible by a taxi ride – similarly activities such as horse riding, cycling, racquet sports, sailing and water sports are all to be found near the Vila Gale Nautico Armacao de Pera.

One first time guest to the Algarve commented on the excellent location and said that the hotel was peaceful and clean with an excellent swimming pool. She enjoyed the entertainment onsite and the easy access to the Algarve beaches and town centre, which made for a very relaxing holiday and said that the staff were friendly and helpful and kept the rooms very clean.

Another reviewer said that the hotel was an excellent base for a family holiday and he and his wife had taken full advantage of the baby sitting service to enjoy the local restaurants and walks.
