The Algarve in Portugal has long been a favourite destination of tourists from the UK and beyond.

This beautiful area of Europe has more hours of sunshine than anywhere else, and this is combined with endless stretching beaches, fantastic golf courses and sports/leisure facilities, bustling and friendly resorts and a good range of quality hotel and aparthotel accommodation. It’s no surprise that guests return year after year to sample the Algarve.

Rooms at the Rosamar

The spacious Rosamar Hotel Portugal has 44 rooms and is rated as a three star aparthotel. The location is excellent, with the apartments situated just a minute’s walk away from lovely sandy beaches – one of which is famous as being the longest in the Algarve. The hotel is family run and has good facilities.

Each room offers full air-conditioning/central heating, a private bathroom with a bath/shower, a television with satellite channels, a phone, hairdryer, ironing board and self catering kitchen facilities such as crockery and glasses. Each room also has a terrace or balcony and there is a daily cleaning service. Each room is simply decorated in traditional Mediterranean décor and the rooms are well sized. Additional facilities such as baby cots can be booked in advance with reception.

Facilities at the Rosamar Hotel

The Rosamar is located in the popular Algarve resort of Armacao de Pera in the Algarve – a picturesque fishing village, and the apartments are very close to the beach and the centre of the resort. The hotel offers a good range of facilities. There is a large indoor swimming pool with plenty of space for lounging and relaxing, and an outdoor pool just over the road with a sun terrace, parasols and loungers.

The reception has a fully manned desk with multilingual staff and there’s a comfortable seating area with a reading library for guests. There is a bar onsite, and a full buffet breakfast for guests in the restaurant, as well as a games room and facilities for disabled guests and young children. There are also nearby supermarkets for self catering guests and public transport is nearby, offering excellent links to nearby attractions such as Albufeira, and with many places within walking distance of the hotel.

Things to do near the Rosamar Hotel

As with all resorts in the Algarve, Armacao de Pera is bustling and lively with plenty of things for all ages and interests to enjoy. The Rosamar Hotel is close to the local bus stop and taxi ranks, and there are miles of stretching coastline to explore for local walks. There are local bars and restaurants, as well as discos in close distance, and many of the restaurants have excellent offers for family meals. The nearby beach has lots of water sports available for those seeking active pursuits, such as windsurfing, jet skiing and sailing, and there are some lovely beach bars.

The beach is also manned by lifeguards, which is ideal for families. There are nearby cliffs to enjoy walking along, a fisherman’s beach which is very picturesque and offers excellent seafood in the local restaurants, and also sand dunes stretching to the next resort – Gale, about two miles away. The Rosamar is also well located for local attractions such as Zoomarine, Loule markets, Albufeira resort – with its lively strip of nightlife and shops, as well as the marina – and cultural attractions at nearby Silves. The Algarve also has much to offer by way of golf courses, bike rides, horse riding and sports courts – and the Rosamar Hotel reception staff can point guests in the right direction!

What have visitors to the Rosamar Hotel said about their stay?

A number of guests to the Armacao de Pera resort in the Algarve have offered good feedback on the Hotel Rosamar. One first time visitor to the Algarve said she really enjoyed her stay and found the staff to be pleasant and helpful. She recommended the local amenities and proximity of public transport, and found the hotel to be peaceful – but close enough to local bars and restaurants for livelier nights out!

Another reviewer again commented on the excellent location and said the Rosamar was a perfect base for a beach holiday, with the apartments being larger than he’d expected, and the maid service efficient and friendly. He also recommended the Old Road Irish bar! Finally one other guest recommended the hotel for a well priced family holiday, where beach time was at a premium, and where guests wanted comfortable and friendly accommodation in a location close to amenities, but in a relatively quiet area for relaxing after a busy day.
