The Quinta Nova Sun Club, recently rebranded as Hotel Club Brisamar, is a large three-star apartment complex close to the attractive fishing village of Alvor, famed for its spectacular beaches, and the lively resort town of Portimao, where the bars and clubs throng with revellers until the small hours. The idyllic location, great facilities and wealth of activities nearby make the Quinta Nova Sun Club an ideal base for families as well as couples and groups of friends holidaying together in the Algarve.
Location
The Quinta Nova Sun Club is set in almost five acres of immaculately maintained grounds, in a tranquil spot that is less than two kilometres from the beaches and facilities of Alvor, a lovely Algarve fishing town famous for its soft sandy beaches, dotted with caverns and coves.
The apartment complex is also within easy reach by bus or taxi of Portimao, a larger Algarve resort town that boasts good shopping facilities and a lively nightlife scene. The resort lies around one hours’ drive from Faro Airport, the main air transport hub for the Algarve region of Portugal. Due to a steep climb, the complex is not recommended for people with walking difficulties.
Rooms
Quinta Nova Sun Club offers apartment-style accommodation with a kitchenette that gives holiday makers the option of preparing their own meals, drinks etc. Recently renovated, the rooms at Quinta Nova Sun Club are attractive, modern and well equipped.
Each apartment features a twin bedroom, lounge area with sofa bed, private bathroom, and a terrace or balcony. All apartments are air conditioned and boast satellite television. The well equipped kitchenettes feature a fridge, oven, hob with four rings, microwave, kettle, and toaster. Each apartment also has a safe, and a regular maid service keeps things spick and span, with rooms changed five times weekly and linen changed twice weekly. There is also a direct-dial telephone in each apartment at the Quinta Nova Sun Club.
Facilities
A modern, attractive apartment complex, Quinta Nova is set in almost five acres of well maintained gardens. Perfectly-equipped for families and those who like to keep lively, the complex boasts two swimming pools – one for adults and one for children – tennis and squash courts, and a football pitch.
A gym is available on site for those who want to keep that beach body in trim, whilst sun loungers are available for guests who want to relax and work on their tan. A Kids’ Club offers activities for younger family members during high season, when evening entertainment is also laid on at the complex. As well as two bars, the apartment, has a full restaurant serving buffet meals.
Things to do nearby
A favourite amongst sun seekers who appreciate the immaculate sandy beaches, Alvor is a pleasant Algarve fishing town that offers plenty by the way of eating and drinking opportunities. Those looking for livelier Algarve nightlife can head for nearby Portimao, a larger holiday resort. Golfers visiting the Algarve to take advantage of the famous courses will be delighted with the location – the legendary Penina course, along with others such as Palmares, Alvor Golf and Alto Golf Club, lie within easy reach of the resort.
Watersports enthusiasts can take to the water to practice their chosen sport, whilst horse riding, fishing, sailing, walking and mountain biking are other popular activities in the area. Waterparks and other family friendly facilities also lie close to the apartment complex. The area is perfect for nature lovers – a nature resort lies nearby, and there is plenty of opportunity for spotting animals, birds and beautiful Algarve plant life.
