The Prainha Club Hotel is situated within Prainha Village, a dedicated tourist complex that enjoys a fantastic cliff top location overlooking the town of Alvor and the Bay of Lagos.
Despite the tranquil setting within 20 acres of beautifully manicured gardens, Prainha Village is within easy reach of the town of Alvor, with its many bars and restaurants, and the larger Algarve town of Portimao, where there are many shops and a lively nightlife scene. The beautiful beaches of Alvor lie within walking distance, and Faro Airport, the main air transport hub for visitors to the Algarve region of Portugal, is less than an hour’s drive from the Prainha Village.
Rooms
Accommodation at Prainha Club comprises 61 fully equipped, luxuriously furnished and immaculately maintained apartments.
The apartments sleep from two to five people and are each equipped with air conditioning, bathroom, kitchenette with cooking facilities and fridge, cable television, a mini-bar and private or ensuite bathroom. Rooms also benefit from internet access and radio, and a safety deposit box. All rooms are furnished to the highest standard, with style as well as comfort and convenience in mind.

The Prainha Club is equipped with every comfort and convenience guests could wish for – and more! There are a total of four restaurants on the site, as well as a further snack bar, and a small supermarket allows self-caterers to stock up on groceries.
The reception desk is manned 24/7 and there is also a fantastic onsite spa and sauna facility with hydro massage, Turkish baths, sauna and jacuzzi alongside a range of health and beauty treatments. Swimming pools and extensive grounds provide further opportunity to get active, or just relax and keep cool. A gym and tennis courts are also available for guests’ use, and a childrens’ play park makes the hotel an ideal spot for families. Currency exchange, laundry service, internet access, TV lounge and bike hire are also available at the complex.

Sun lovers are spoilt for choice in Alvor, an Algarve town which is surrounded by beautiful secluded sandy beaches dotted with enchanting caves. Watersports, fishing and even diving are all easily organised, and golfers can take advantage of a total of 18 courses in the vicinity of the Prainha Club complex.
Alvor itself is a scenic fishing town that offers plenty by the way of eating, drinking and sightseeing opportunities, whilst holidaymakers wishing to explore the beautiful Algarve can hire bikes and get to know the beautiful landscape, rich with wildlife-spotting opportunities. Waterparks and other family friendly facilities also lie close to the apartment complex.

One guest said the location ‘could not be beaten’ and appreciated the easy access to beautiful Algarve beaches, as well as the complex’s own pools. The reviewer commented that, although not usually a fan of hotel cuisine, the on-site restaurants were found to be amongst the best in the area.
