Vivenda Pedro villa, Vilamoura
Part of the Vilamoura Villas group, Vivenda Pedro in Vilamoura is situated in Portugal’s beautiful Algarve region. This beautiful detached villa sleeps six and is located in a cul de sac in Vilamoura, a 30 minutes drive from Faro airport.
The villa is set in lovely, enclosed gardens offering spacious accommodation. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, oven, hob and fridge/freezer. There is also a washing machine located in the utility area.
If you’d like to spend some time indoors, the lounge includes a dining area as well as a satellite TV, DVD player and patio doors opening up to a covered terrace and your own private, Roman style pool. The private pool is 8.2 x 4m and has a depth of 0.9 – 2.6m and comes with sun loungers allowing you to sunbathe and take a dip whenever you wish. There is also an open poolside shower.
There is a built in barbecue and a table and chairs located on the patio for those wishing to cook or eat al fresco. Conveniently, there is both natural shade in the garden and a covered terrace to offer relief from the heat of the midday sun.
Sleeping arrangements are three double bedrooms, two are located on the ground floor and share a bathroom. The master bedroom is located on the first floor and comes with an en-suite bathroom and a balcony overlooking the pool and gardens. All bedrooms are equipped with free standing fans.
The centre of Vilamoura is 3.8km, the nearest cafe/restaurant is 1.5km, nearest bar 1.5km and the nearest mini/supermarket is 1.8km, making a car advisable. Vilamoura villas offer an ideal base to explore Vilamoura, which is one of the largest single tourist complexes in Europe. It is both family friendly with has a good night life and offers plenty of things to do to suit all tastes and interests.
The marina is enormous and offers an ideal base to both people and boat watch! Enjoy a drink at one of the numerous bars and restaurants and watch the world go by. Local specialities include shellfish and meat dishes but international cuisine is also available. Boat excursions along the coast up to Lagos also leave from the marina. Alternatively you can visit some of the designer shops.
There are plenty of sporting options on offer – Portugal is renowned for golf and there are four golf championship courses to choose from. Alternatively you could choose from tennis, riding, squash, shooting and lawn bowling. You can also try your hand at a wide range of watersports.
For those interested in culture, there is also a museum and a preserved roman site. The Algarve is famous for its long sandy beaches and the nearest beach to the villa is located 3.8km away. The local vegetation is a mix of pine forests, which are lovely to gently amble through. There is also recovered marshland to add variety to the scenery.
