Olhos d’agua is a tranquil town a few miles from the popular holiday resort of Albufeira. Olhos d’Água is a fine example of an old fashioned Portuguese fishing village with two attractive beaches. The peaceful Praia d’Água has picturesque umbrella pine trees and fishing boats anchored out to sea. The second beach is called Praia da Falesia and is considered one of the Algarve’s most beautiful shores. It offers over 8 kilometres of golden sand flanked by ochre coloured cliffs.

The Olhos dAgua villas offer flexible, economic and independent holiday accommodation. There is a spectrum of prices to suit all budgets and the standard is high. A few include a daily or twice weekly housemaid service.

The typical holiday home in this nook of the Algarve will be a modern build that nonetheless, evokes that traditional Portuguese villa style. The architecture is always appealing on the eye and incorporates balconies and terraces, affording plenty of outdoor space. Villas that can accommodate up to 8 or occasionally 10 guests are common. Many have air conditioning through the property and for this there may be an additional tariff payable before departure. Nearly all the villas in Olhos dAgua are detached or semi detached properties.

Furniture will be in good condition and comfortable. Patio doors grant access onto the terrace. Kitchens are fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, oven, hob, fridge/freezer and usually a coffee machine. The kitchen suite will be recent and allow for plenty of storage space. Nearly all villas provide a utility room with washing machine and sometimes a tumble dryer.

Bedrooms will be both on the ground floor and first floor. There is almost always one master bedroom with double bed and en suite facilities, such as bath with over head walk in shower, WC and bidet. Other bedrooms will be fitted with twin beds and possibly en suite. As well as the en suite in the bedrooms the villas have separate bathrooms, often on both floors.

The Algarve boasts a wonderful climate, with Africa just over the horizon. The climate is warm and sunny all year long. Not surprisingly the Olhos dAgua villas are structured with this is mind and always have the best in outdoor living. Private swimming pools are taken as standard and are generously sized, frequently with poolside showers. Built in barbecues and the covered shade afforded by the patio, mean that guests can enjoy al fresco dining at any time of day. The flowerbeds and lawns are well maintained.

Olhos d’Água is a forty minute drive from the regional airport at Faro. Self drive is recommended. The villas are never more than 2 kilometres out from the town centre. Typically restaurants, bars and cafes are within walking distance, or a short drive. Local supermarkets give self caterers plenty of menu options from local produce to British fare.
