The three star Rocamar Beach Hotel Portugal is a contemporary hotel set right on the beach in the popular tourist resort of Albufeira on the Algarve.

It has very easy access to all the local tourist, entertainment and food amenities, most of which are within easy walking distance of the hotel. Each room is nicely decorated in a modern tasteful style with muted colours for a relaxing feel. The rooms all have air conditioning and an en-suite bathroom with a shower and bath. There is a satellite TV in each room along with a direct dial telephone, a safe and a hairdryer. Each room has a balcony with views of the surrounding area and fridges are also available in some rooms – if requested when booking. There is also room service available at certain hours of the day and staff are on hand to advise guests.

Facilities

The Hotel Rocamar Beach has an a la carte restaurant for those guests who prefer to eat on site. There is also a snack bar for daytime sunbathing breaks and drinks are also available at the on site hotel bar. There is a round the clock manned reception desk with multilingual staff and also a currency exchange.

For relaxation there is a games room and a television room and the hotel also has a swimming pool outdoors and a sunlounge area with poolside chairs, loungers and parasols available for guests’ convenience. Furthermore there is also bike hire available at the Rocamar Beach Hotel, and these are a great way to see the local area and explore Albufeira resort. For convenience there is a laundry room, internet access points, a safe for any valuables, a foyer lift, and also parking facilities for guests with hire cars. Near the hotel there is also a boat launch, a popular bird watching point and tennis courts.

One reviewer said that the hotel was lovely and clean with very friendly staff. She also recommended the cocktails and said that the room was more tastefully decorated than other hotels she’d experienced in the past and that her family’s room had excellent sea views. Another regular visitor to the Algarve said that he found the hotel ideal for his family as it was quiet and friendly and particularly good for those with older family members or those holidaying in groups or couples.

He also said that the breakfast buffet was particularly good and there were some good restaurants and bars nearby to enjoy in the evening. The location was also recommended, as being very close to Albufeira town, and one other reviewer said that there was a lively square just five minutes away which was filled with street entertainers, terrace cafes and ice-creams in the evening.
