Hotel Location
The apartments are only 1.5 kilometres from Albufeira town centre, as well as the old town and Albufeira’s beach. It’s also located just a kilometre away from the town marina, one of the best on the Algarve.
Hotel Facilities
The hotel facilities are plentiful – there are two swimming pools – one indoors with a jacuzzi and a child’s splash pool.
Those who don’t wish to sit in the sun can relax under the shady almond trees. There are also various onsite activities such as a multi-sports court – for football, tennis and basketball games – a jacuzzi, a mini-market for any food and drink purchases and a snack-bar. There’s also a separate kids’ playground to allow them to let off steam, and other facilities such as a games room and table tennis, a laundry, a pleasant garden area and also buses into the town and to the Strip.
The hotel rooms
As for the rooms themselves, all the apartments at the Pateo Village comprise a kitchenette area, bedroom / living room and a terrace. The kitchenettes have a toaster and microwave along with drink making facilities and a fridge. There’s also a television, phone, and safe for valuables. The hotel has a cleaning and maid service that comes in five times each week and the reception is staffed 24 hours, with friendly and multilingual staff.
Things to do in the Surrounding Area
The region offers over 150 kilometres of golden beaches, framed by the Atlantic Ocean and dotted with friendly resorts.
As well as the obvious sun-seeking, there are numerous golf courses for a leisurely round or two in the sun – or a wide range of watersports on offer, together with the attractive countryside and coastal cycling routes, horse-riding, walking and also cultural attractions in the local towns and villages. Portugal has a number of picturesque towns and villages to visit, with fantastic food to be enjoyed and friendly locals. The Algarve nightlife in popular resorts such as Albufeira with its famous ‘strip’ offers a wide range of lively bars, diverse restaurants, pavement cafes, shops and supermarkets.

One reviewer said that the Pateo Village Portugal was one of the nicest aparthotels that he and his girlfriend had ever stayed in. He said that it was really clean and more spacious than they were used to, and that their private terrace was great for having a drink before going out. He also recommended the pool and sunbathing area, although said it got busy early on so it was worth getting up in good time to get a lounger!
Another reviewer said that the apartments were very well stocked with everything that their family had needed for self-catering during their stay, including cutlery, glasses, cooking and hot drink making facilities, and a bathroom with plenty of towels. They also pointed out that the staff were really friendly and helpful and were always on hand to answer queries. Another guest described the Pateo Village Apartments Algarve as ‘fantastic’, with their group’s towels changed regularly, a pool area with a special splash pool for babies, and a good bar and snack kiosk on site. He also said that the location was good for local supermarkets and places of interest. Finally another reviewer said that the Pateo Village Apartments Albufeira were great for a family stay and that their kids had had a great time – with maids on hand when rooms needed cleaning.
