The beach is only a short walk away and there is a pool on-site for those who prefer to remain closer to ‘home’. There are plenty of sunbeds and poolside refreshments available on the sun-terrace, and there is a supermarket and bakery just a few metres away from the hotel entrance. The hotel’s biggest draw is its location – only a few hundred metres from Praia de Oura Beach, and a similar distance from the Strip.

The hotel is also easy to get to from Faro Airport, around 35 kilometres and there are taxis available for transfers etc. The hotel staff are friendly and on hand to help and there’s a reception and information desk for booking services and finding out more about the local facilities in Albufeira and the wider Algarve. For those who wish to travel and explore further afield than the immediate resort, there are handy coach, bus and taxi ranks found near the Ourasol Hotel – again, the hotel staff can help you to plan your trips and identify which excursions there are.

The Ourasol Albufeira Rooms

The rooms are spacious and have terraces with good views. The rooms are simply decorated, but well stocked with kitchen facilities such as a hob, microwave, tea and coffee making facilities etc and fridge. The bathroom has a shower unit and there are fresh sheets and towels available. Guests can choose to stay on a B&B basis and can have breakfast brought to their room. There are also safes available for any valuables, and rooms have a television and a telephone. Towels and bedding are provided by the hotel and are regularly refreshed by housekeeping.

Things to do Near the Ourasol Albufeira

This part of Portugal is all about the beaches – the Algarve has mile upon mile of stretching, unspoilt golden beaches, ocean seas and a wide array of leisure activities including the famous golf resorts of the Algarve, water sports such as surfing, water-skiing and sailing, horseriding and cycling to name but a few. There’s also plenty of lovely walks, particularly along the coast, or around Albufeira town’s marina.

What Do Guests Say About The Ourasol Apartments Albufeira?

One guest noted that the Ourasol Albufeira apartments contained everything needed for a family group, and that his apartment was large with a pool view. Another said that the service was very good and the sunbeds were free.

Visitors noted that the Oursol Hotel Algarve is also extremely close to the beach which is very handy. Another reviewer commented on the friendliness of the hotel staff and said that ‘nothing was too much trouble for them’ – also pointing out that their breakfast was delivered on time every morning! Another reviewer commented that the pool was slightly smaller than they’d hoped for, but that it was very clean (along with the rest of the apartments) and in fact he witnessed the hotel manager cleaning out the pool at 8am every morning.

One other reviewer said that the Ourasol Hotel lacked any on-site entertainment, so could be better for those who preferred to go to the Strip for their food/drinks etc – and then enjoyed coming back to a peaceful apartment without noise from nearby clubs etc. This could be an attraction for families in particular, who don’t want to be woken by the nightlife, but who enjoy being close to the entertainments and attractions of nearby Albufeira strip.
