The Algarve in Portugal is a very popular tourist destination. The aparthotel has over 90 spacious and air-conditioned family apartments and studios, and the atmosphere is welcoming and family-friendly. Each apartment has a well stocked kitchenette with cooking and tea/coffee making facilities. There are combined living areas and bedrooms, and a bathroom with a shower and bath. There is a balcony for eating al-fresco and watching the views.

The hotel is only a walk away from the famous resort Strip which has great eating, drinking and shopping facilities to suit all tastes – and similarly the nearest beach is also only a stroll away. There are also good transport links around the Algarve – with taxi ranks, bus stops and coach links close by, and hotel staff are happy to help guests book excursions to local attractions.

As expected of such a popular holiday destination, there are a lot of activities on offer in the Algarve – from the well-known golf courses of the region, to horse riding, walking, water-sports and cycling… and of course the Algarve beaches are great for those wishing to simply relax and enjoy the sun and gorgeous sea waters – rated five-star on the cleanliness scale.

There is also plenty to see beyond the Algarve beaches, particularly for those who enjoy a bit of sight-seeing. Faro in the east was once a fishing port and famous trading centre – and is now a bustling tourist resort. Albufeira – to the West – is a popular city and tourist resort. The main activity of Albufeira resort is centred around the famous ‘Strip’, near Montechoro, and it offers something for everyone – with fantastic restaurants, cool bars, diverse shops and plenty of outdoor terraces to enjoy a coffee or an ice-cream.

What Do Odamar Hotel Guests Say?

The Ondamar Hotel Algarve has had some good feedback. One reviewer commented on the friendly staff and facilities – and that it was located close to the Albufeira main strip. She also appreciated the large supermarket nearby which was great for stocking up with food essentials for beach trips and lunches etc. Another guest said that he had been a little apprehensive about the quality of the Algarve hotel – as he’d booked it online for a bargain price – but he’d been very pleasantly surprised by the facilities and local amenities and found the staff to be pleasant and helpful – to the point where he was keen to return.

Another guest said it was fantastic for location, being close to the beach and restaurants, cafes and shops etc – her only complaint was that the pool was a bit chilly – although she noted that it was large and clean and that her two small children hadn’t shared her complaint! Finally, a couple looking for a relaxing holiday said that the Ondama Hotel was pleasantly quiet and peaceful – and had a very friendly, family feel with the staff going out of their way to make the guests feel welcome. They also said that they’d recommend it to other travellers.
