The Monica Isabel Beach Club can be found alongside a beautiful and secluded beach strip, famous for its soft sands and deep azure waters that characterise Portugal and the Algarve so well… then after a day’s hard tanning, you can nip into Albufeira and check out the range of diversions on offer there, with the hotel’s free bus service which runs into town three times a day,
Hotel facilities
There are a raft of tourist facilities on offer on the actual hotel site – two restaurants, three bars, a small supermarket and a range of shops, including a money exchange. The TV and games room offers scope for post-sun relaxation, and the spacious swimming pools are there for cooling off in! There are also good games and club activities for children, all fully supervised by the kids’ club staff. Hotel guests can also use the 24 hour fully manned reception, order a range of international newspapers, change money, lock away valuables in the safe and even get online at the internet access kiosks. Breakfast is served from nine am, and there’s an extended dinner period from 6.45pm to ten pm. Guests can also take full advantage of the beachside kiosk, which sells a range of drinks, ice-cream and snacks during the day – and drinks are available at the poolside bars until 5 in the evening.
Nightlife
The Monica Isabel has two of its own bars to enjoy – the Atlantico Bar with a superb view of the ocean and Algarve coastline – a perfect place for having a cocktail at sunset, or to watch a show – dance, magic and casino shows amongst others! The bar’s happy hour is between 6-7pm – to fuel you for a night’s dancing in the hotel’s bar, or you could head into town for some alternative venues!
What about the hotel rooms…?
The Monica Isabel Hotel, Algarve, has 260 rooms – 4 star Aparthotel rooms and 3 star apartments for different group sizes. Each studio has a bathroom with bath/shower and each room is extended for extra space. The kitchenette is stocked with a bar and fridge and each room is also supplied with a safe, TV, phone and terrace balcony. Families can also choose to stay in the apartments which have an additional bedroom for kids. Another feature is that most of the hotel rooms have full views of the beach.
Other things to know…
Guests check out at midday, and kids under 12 stay for free if they use the existing bedding in the room. Babies under 2 can also stay for free, without any charges for cots. A maximum of one bed extra, and two baby cots in each room is possible – if confirmed in advance by the Monica Isabel. No pets are allowed, as with most Algarve hotels. The Portuguese currency is the Euro – and you can change money in the hotel.
