Grande Real Santa Eulalia Resort and Hotel Spa

The motto at the Grande Real Santa Eulalia Resort and Hotel Spa is ‘Small Details Make all the Difference’ and attention has been paid to even the tiniest detail at this luxurious Algarve resort. The hotel complex has won countless rave reviews, with many guests giving the resort top marks for location, service and facilities.
The five-star hotel and spa complex lies close to the famous resort town of Albufeira, one of the Algarve’s most enduringly popular holiday destinations. The modern, well-equipped hotel enjoys a beautiful location in a sheltered cove on a sandy Algarve beach, and accommodation here consists of one, two, and three-bedroom apartments set in attractive leafy gardens.
Amenities
A total of 344 apartments are available at the Grande Real Eulalia Resort and Hotel Spa, and include Grande Suites and Jacuzzi Suites. Some rooms enjoy beach views, whilst others take in views of the resort’s impressive gardens.
All apartments are air conditioned and all boast satellite television, internet access, and safe deposit boxes. Kitchenettes in each of the apartments provide guests with the option of preparing their own meals. Some rooms are equipped to meet the needs of disabled guests.
Holidaymakers coming to the Algarve, Portugal for a relaxing break will not be disappointed. The hotel complex is also home to the Spa and Thulasso Centre, where qualified Thulasso therapists and masseuses are on hand to ensure guests are utterly pampered. For those unfamiliar with Thulasso, it is a type of therapy that uses seawater and its biological elements to create a range of nourishing treatments for the skin and body.
The hotel complex boasts many additional facilities, helping guests on an Algarve break to really get away from it all. Although it lies within easy reach of the attractive fishing and resort town of Albufeira, the wealth of facilities on offer may mean guests are happy to just sit back and relax at the complex for the majority of their stay at the Grande Real Eulalia Resort and Hotel Spa. There are two restaurants in the hotel itself, and a further three in the resort complex, along with a total of seven bars – including Le Club – which offers a restaurant, bar and dancefloor under one roof. A beauty parlour and hairdresser is available to help guests look their best for dinner and dancing.
Those who like to keep active when holidaying in Portugal will have no complaints either – there are a total of six outdoor heated pools – three for adults and three for children – along with two artificial grass tennis courts and a modern and very well equipped gym. The resort lies within five minutes’ drive of a nine-hole golf course, whilst a 15 minute drive takes guests to Vilamoura, and its six separate courses. A golf academy run by the hotel provides plenty of opportunity to brush up your skills. Guests have easy access to the beach, of course, and all kinds of watersports are on offer – the hotel can arrange lessons at an extra charge. Beach chairs and parasols can also be hired at the hotel.
Other Activities
Families on an Algarve break are very well catered for here, there’s a Kids’ Club wth supervised playground and swimming pool for children aged three to 12-years-old, whilst games keep older children occupied.
Business guests are equally at home, thanks to good conference facilities and a conference centre and there is a courtesy bus transporting guests to the centre of Albufeira at frequent intervals throughout the day and evening. Other facilities on offer to guests are organised excursions to local beauty spots, taxi service, luggage storage, personalised wake up calls, fax and 24 hour security guard.
Dining
When it comes to dining, guests are spoiled for choice. The hotel’s main restaurant serves buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, and can accommodate special dietary requirements. The Pergula Restaurant, meanwhile, is an a-la-carte dinner-only restaurant serving fresh and delicious Mediterranean cuisine, whilst three pool-side bars serve tasty snacks such as sandwiches, burgers and crepes. The elegant Real Bar has an excellent wine cellar, while the Mezanino Bar has a relaxed ambience and rustic feel.
Although many guests simply choose to relax and while away the sunny days at the hotel complex, there are many sights to see for those who want to venture further afield. In and around the Albufeira region of the Algarve lie beaches where the sands are fine and soft, and the clear turquoise seas are backed by rocks and red cliffs. Taking a drive along the Algarve coast, visitors will encounter wonderfully-relaxed fishing villages and endless sandy beaches and heading a few miles inland will allow holidaymakers to discover green hills, unspoilt Algarve towns and villages and trees laden with oranges, lemons, almonds and figs.
