Location

People taking their Albufeira holidays at the Alisios Hotel will find it to be a few minutes’ walk from the beach and around 15 minutes from the Old Town of Albufeira. The main strip is around 20 minutes away by foot as are some of the water parks and the nightclubs. The public transport connections run past the hotel into the town of Albufeira and beyond.

There are a number of cliff top walks that start at the Alisios hotel that can be enjoyed during your Albufeira holidays. These are suitable for all ages although some can become quite steep and rugged.

The balconies either overlook the sun terrace, restaurant and ocean or they overlook the pretty landscaped gardens that surround the hotel. There is also the option of hiring a room safe for valuables and this is charged on a daily basis.

Bars and Restaurants

Albufeira holidays at the Alisios hotel are meant to be relaxing and the on-site restaurant and cocktail bar help to achieve this. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor dining available throughout the day, plus it caters for all meal times. Breakfast is continental and the range of dishes at other times will easily satisfy most guests. Reviews have mentioned that the meals in the restaurant are slightly pricier than you might find in the town of Albufeira however the food is good quality and the restaurant is convenient. Alternatively, the hotel is only a 15 minute walk from a number of traditional restaurants in the centre of the Old Town.

The Alisios hotel also has a very nice cocktail bar which can add a little bit of romance to your cheap holidays in Albufeira. The bar and accompanying lounge is open until late throughout the week for after dinner drinks and bar snacks. There isn’t any entertainment at the hotel however there is at the hotel next door and this can enjoyed from the bar and terrace areas.

Overall Assessment

Albufeira holidays spent at the Alisios hotel have a relaxing and stress-free atmosphere. The hotel restaurant and bar serve quality food and drink throughout the day which can be enjoyed indoors or out on the terrace. The indoor swimming pool is a good size and there are plenty of sun loungers around the pool and out on the sun terrace. The rooms are also a good size and are known for their cleanliness – as is the rest of the hotel.

The walk to the beach takes minutes and with direct access from the hotel, it is never to busy to get a spot. Similarly the walk into the town only takes around 15 minutes and here you will find a good selection of restaurants, bars, traditional cafes and shops. You will also find a variety of children’s entertainment facilities, markets and nightclubs should you want them.
